Downstairs
The downstairs apartment opens straight onto the garden, with the lawn and the coastal planting a step from the door and no stairs to climb.
Inside it is bright, cool and simple: an open-plan living room and kitchenette with tiled floors and ceiling fans, and one generous bedroom with a king-size bed that splits into two singles. Everything is set up for a proper self-catering stay rather than a night's stopover.
Glass doors slide back onto a covered patio at garden level, with the lawn and the fan palms just beyond. It is the easier of the two to come and go from, which makes it the one to ask for if stairs are a nuisance or you are loading golf clubs in and out.

Upstairs
The upstairs apartment looks out over the treetops to the sea, with two bedrooms, a wide balcony and a proper entertainment room built around a bar and an indoor braai.
Glass doors stack right back along the length of the living room and open onto the balcony, so on a warm day the whole room becomes part of it. Beyond the glass balustrade the garden drops away into fan palms, and past those the coastline runs off into the distance.
The entertainment room is the heart of it — a long table with bench seating, a built-in bar and an indoor braai for the evenings when the wind is up. There is a separate sitting room off it if someone wants somewhere quieter.
The main bedroom has its own door onto the balcony and a wall of built-in wardrobes. The second bedroom is set up with twin beds, which makes this the easier of the two apartments for a family or two couples travelling together.

Golf & Surrounds
Southbroom sits in the middle of what South Africans simply call the Golf Coast. You could play a different course every day for a week and never drive more than half an hour.
Southbroom Golf Club sits on your doorstep — an established parkland course with monkeys in the milkwoods and the sea in the background. Half a dozen more courses, San Lameer and Margate among them, are inside half an hour, which makes this stretch of coast a genuinely good golfing week.
Southbroom and Marina Beach are both a few minutes away — wide, warm-water swimming beaches with lifeguards in season. The rocky points between them are good for fishing, and the tidal pools keep small people busy for hours.
Diving and deep-sea charters run out of nearby Shelly Beach year-round. Between June and July the Sardine Run brings dolphins, sharks and whales close in — you can often watch the action from the beach.
Oribi Gorge is under an hour inland: hiking trails, waterfalls, the Lehr's Falls viewpoint and, if you are so inclined, the Wild Gorge Swing. Riverbend Crocodile Farm and the Umtamvuna reserve are closer still.

Southbroom is roughly 160 km south of Durban on the N2 — an easy drive, and the last stretch along the coast is a pleasure. Detailed directions come with your booking confirmation.

Good to Know
The unit sleeps two comfortably in one bedroom. The king-size bed can be split into two single beds — just let us know which you would prefer when you book.
Very close — the club is a short walk from the front door, which means you can play a round without moving the car. We are happy to point you at the pro shop for tee times, and can suggest the other courses along the coast if you are playing a few.
Yes. The kitchenette is fully equipped for self-catering, with a hob, microwave, air fryer, fridge–freezer and everything you need to cook and eat in. The Southbroom shops are a couple of minutes away for supplies.
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00. If your travel plans need something different, ask us — we will accommodate where we can.
Yes, there is off-street parking at the property for one vehicle.
We are not able to host pets at The Tee Box.
